Mission and Vision

OUR MISSION

The Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce strives to enhance, promote, and support the economic stability and growth in the communities it serves.

VISION

The Chamber will be a community and business leader and a        sought-after partner in economic development and tourism, community enhancement, and civic engagement for our region.

The Chamber will work with local, regional, and state officials to influence public policy to the benefit of our members, which will create a vibrant and prosperous business community in Sullivan County.

The Chamber will be a conduit for communication, education, and evaluation for the business community of Sullivan County.

GOALS

1. The Chamber will be a community leader by strengthening our partnership with the city through events (e.g., Fall Festival and Winter Fest); by supporting community programs (e.g., Banners, Map, and Gateway Project); and by civic engagement (e.g., members holding city committee seats, the Candidates Social and Forum, as well as a Young Professionals Get Out and Vote effort).

2. We will be an advocate for the Sullivan County business community through our membership and active involvement in the BIA; the Advocacy Committee's Community Leaders Round Table; and encouraging our members to sit on committees at the local and regional level and to run for office at the local, regional, and state level. This will be possible through growth of our membership by a revised membership rate and package.

3. We will be a conduit for communication, education, and evaluation for the business community of Sullivan County. We will accomplish this through our publications, website, and social and business networking both live and on the Web.  We will enhance connections with our partnerships with River Valley Community College, Granite State College, and the Small Business Administration to offer business courses and development.
