Shelly Hudson
Executive Director
2007- present

Shelly Hudson, a seasoned business and arts professional, accepted the position of Executive Director of the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce in 2007. She draws on 15 years of nonprofit, small business, and performing arts experience. In her position at the Chamber, Shelly mentors small businesses owners, nonprofits, and professionals, as well as arts entities and has been featured in print, radio, and television.

Recognized at the local and state level for her commitment to the business community and the arts, Shelly works with area organizations to bring to light the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of the western part of our state.

Shelly is a member of the New Hampshire Association of Chamber Executives, the Leadership NH class of 2011, NH Educational Theatre Guild, and the New Hampshire Community Theatre Association and acts as a NH adjudicator for the NH Theatre Awards. Locally, Shelly sits on the Claremont Opera House Board of Directors and is a Master Mentor for the Good Guides program through Goodwill Industries NNE. Shelly is also the Executive and Artistic Director for the award-winning youth performing arts studio, The Performer’s Playground, which she founded in 2001.

When Shelly is not hosting a Chamber event, speaking at a business gathering, organizing community events, or producing youth theatre productions, she is enjoying quality time with her nine-year-old daughter and their puppy.

Karen Parker
Office Administrator
2011

Karen Parker joined the Chamber office as office administrator at the end of January 2011.

Karen has been an administrative assistant at Dartmouth College, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Vermont Law School, and at T. L. Financial Services of New England in Claremont. Prior to her administrative support career, Karen was a teacher at Claremont Christian Academy.

She is an active member of her church and is a 34-year participant in the Newport Area Choir. She enjoys reading, creative writing, fine arts, performing arts, travel, the beach, and meeting people.

Almost a life-long resident of Claremont, Karen lives with her former-teacher husband, David, her teenage daughter, Katie, and two cats. She is delighted to be involved in the Chamber’s mission of promoting Claremont.
