How to Clean Your House

Cleaning is an annoying chore, especially when you’re a full-time worker with kids. But not cleaning your house can lead to many adverse incidents such as leaks, bacterias, molds, and even pests. Or perhaps the idea of cleaning your home scares you, as household chores are not something you’re good at. Worry no further, in this article we’re going to discuss on how to clean your house and why you should be doing it diligently.

Your roof

Although it might seem like your roof requires less maintenance than the other parts of your house, it is one of the most fragile elements in your house. The roof protects you from disturbing aspects of the environment while keeping your save from anything that might fall on top of your head. Debris, piles of leafs and mold, that might lead to leaking, or damaging your roof. Cleaning your roof can be an easy task, using a garden hose and some leaf raker will help, avoid using heavy pressure spray as it can cause cracking on the roof.

Bathroom

The bathroom might sound like the cleanest place to be, since you showered there every morning and night, it’s the perfect place for bacterias to live. It is wet, damp and either cold or warm, which is the ideal home for all sorts of bacterias to thrive in your bathroom. Make sure to clean at least once a week, rinse off walls and tub and dry with a cloth, wipe the cabinet and the vanity mirrors, and make sure to scrub the sink to kill any possible bacterias in your bathroom.

Tip: don’t forget to clean your showerhead as well, it can stain and be filled with dirt and grimes.

Bedroom

Ah, the bedroom, the place where you rest after a long tiring day. Although it is probably the safest place, it is a nest for bacterias as well. A dirty pillow and a dirty rug or floor is a no, no, so make sure you vacuum your house and change your pillow covers at least once a week, besides cleanliness a clean bedroom also keeps you away from skin problems such as itchiness, acne and many more.

Tip: open up your windows in the morning, the sun can help kill any bacteria that can’t live under the heat from the sunlight.
